2019 Viognier                                                            $26      

Nose: Honey, white peach, hint of almond & pear

Taste: Starts with honey & peach, maybe a bit of butterscotch & then finishes with citrus

Pairings: Fish tacos with mango salsa, sausage pizza, guacamole, poached pears, relaxing

Winemaker notes: 2021 Governor's Cup Silver, neutral oak 10 months

2018 Estate Chardonnay                                      $24

Nose: Honeysuckle, peach, orange blossom

Taste: White peach, pear, bit of lemon

Pairing: Trout, New England clam chowder, charcuterie tray, apple cobbler, key lime pie

Winemaker notes: Lightly oaked, Silver Medal

Taste: Lots of peach, watermelon, tart apple

Pairing: Fish tacos, shrimp & grits, Swedish meatballs, apple pie, cheddar cheese ball

Winemaker notes: stainless steel fermentation, 100% Pinot Gris, 1% RS

 

2019 Middle Fork White                                         $20

Nose: Honeysuckle and pineapple     

Taste: Tropical fruites

Pairing: Shrimp cocktail, Thanksgiving leftover nachos, spicy curry, oysters

Winemaker notes: Lightly oaked Chardonnay & stainless steel Semillon, 1% RS

Note: Granny Smith apples, ripe pear & apricot

Taste: Pear, apricot & apple with a sweet tart finish

Pairing: Cheesecake, baked apples, shortbread cookies, aged gouda

Winemaker Notes: 9 months neutral oak, 6% RS

2017 Sweet Home:port-style dessert wine      $30

Nose: Cherry licorice, fig

Taste: Black cherry, raspberry, smooth finish

Pairings: Sharp cheddar, dried figs, tiramisu, chocolate blackout pie

Winemaker notes: 50/50 Petit Verdot & Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% RS, 18% alc

2019 Tall & Strong                                                          $25

Nose: Pineapple, strawberry, coocnut

Taste: Strawberry, fruit salad, pineapple Pairings: Key lime pie,pumpkin pie, jalapeno poppers, spinach artichoke dip

Winemaker notes: Fortified Rose, secret combination of 8 grapes, 5% RS, 16% ABV.

Nose: Harvest spices, dark cherry & licorice  

Taste: Tart cherry, a bit of leather & a long fruity finish

Pairing: Shepherd’s Pie, lamb chops, pasta alfredo, tomato & olive tapenade, pecan pie

Winemaker Notes: 2021 Governor's Cup Silver, 80% Merlot, 20% Cab Sauvignon, French oak (33% new) for 20 months

Taste: Dark cherry, a bit of spice, vanilla finish

Pairings: Roast leg of lamb, mushroom lentil soup, pork loin, chocolate pecan pie

Winemaker notes: 2021 Governor's Cup Gold, Bordeaux blend of 36% Merlot, 36% Petit Verdot, 23% Cabernet Franc, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon

2017 Rivanna Red                                                              $26

Taste: Tart cherry, fig, chocolate covered raspberry, full tannin finish

Pairing: Pepper steak, black bean chili, pork loin, chocolate pecan pie

Winemaker notes: 2021 Governor's Cup Silver, Bordeaux blend of 43% Cab Sauvignon, 38% Cab Franc, 19% Merlot French oak (30% new) 21 months.

Taste: Berries & plums with white pepper & zesty long finish

Pairing: Beef burgers, seafood with spicy red sauce, spinach & cheese ravioli, cheese or chocolate fondue, mild cheeses

Winemaker Notes:  French oak (10% new) for 8 months, 100% Cab Franc
