It’s beginning to look a lot like...a Zoom Christmas!
If you’re like us, this year’s Christmas isn’t going to be anything like the past, so why not embrace the day as you Zoom with family and friends, open presents, eat and drink. While opening presents might be an individual act, Zooming, eating and drinking can take place throughout the day (and night)—and can be a delightful way to connect with loved ones.
Here’s a possible scenario...
Zoom call #1
Plan a Zoom brunch of boozy baked French toast and strawberry wine mimosas. Here’s our simple recipe:
Combine equal parts sparkling wine, strawberry wine, and orange juice (be sure to put the sparkling wine in first so it self-mixes and doesn’t destroy the bubbles).
Garnish with fresh or frozen strawberries.
Don’t forget a toast!
Zoom call #2 (anytime mid-day because it’s 5 o’clock somewhere!)
Make a bowl of your favorite salty snack (Bruce’s favorite is peanuts) and pour a tall glass of Tall & Strong on the rocks with a lime wedge, wander outside (assuming the weather cooperates and your internet connection works), and share memories of carefree Christmases past.
Zoom call #3
What’s for dinner? Maybe you already have that planned or maybe you’ll graze all day and will decide to pass on a main course. Either way, you’ll need dessert and a wine pairing. Our Petit Manseng pairs perfectly with this delightful mini cheesecake!
Zoom call #4
Late in the evening, your last Zoom call might just be a time to chill. We discovered this pairing at Thanksgiving and know it’s worth repeating—Sweet Home, our Port-style wine, with salted caramel brownies! Delish!!
If you haven’t tasted our specialty wines, they’re now available by the glass, flight, or bottle. Buy all 4 and save 25%.
However you’ll spend the holidays this year, know that we’re sending well wishes and love. It may be an unusual holiday, but let’s eat, drink, be merry, and toast to a brighter New Year.
Cheers to all of our friends and loved ones near and far!
