2018 Virginia Rose                                                              $18

Nose: Pink grapefruit, apples, honeysuckle
Taste: White peach & apple with warm, smooth finish

Pairing: Green curry, butter chicken, Greek salad,

cheesy quiche

Winemaker notes: 100% Cab Franc, on the skins

2018 Viognier                                                                        $26       Nose: Honey, white peach, hint of almond & pear

Taste: Starts with honey & peach, maybe a bit of butterscotch & then finishes with citrus

Pairings: Fish tacos with mango salsa, sausage pizza,

guacamole, poached pears, relaxing

Winemaker notes: Barrel fermented neutral French

2017 Estate Chardonnay                                                       $24

Nose: Honeysuckle, peach, orange blossom

Taste: White peach, pear and a bit of lemon tartness

Pairing: Trout, New England clam chowder, vegetable stir-fry, apple cobbler

Winemaker notes: Barrel fermented 9 months (25% new), Silver Medal 2020 VA Governor’s Cup

2017 Cycle 76                                                                              $20

Nose: Tropical fruit with a hint of banana

Taste: Lots of peach with a bit of juicy watermelon

Pairing: Fish tacos, shrimp & grits, Tuscan Bean soup,

apple pie

Winemaker notes: stainless steel fermentation, late

harvest Pinot Gris, 1% RS

 

2017 Middle Fork White                                                         $20

Nose: Honeysuckle and pineapple          

Taste: Complex blend of almond, apricot & honey

with a grapefruit finish

Pairing: Bruschetta, ham sandwich, popcorn balls,

Jalapeno mac-n-cheese, sports widows

Winemaker notes: Late harvest stainless steel Pinot Gris, barrel fermented Viognier, Chardonnay & Petit Manseng, 1.5% RS

 

2017 Petit Manseng - dessert wine                                 $22

Note: Granny Smith apples, ripe pear & apricot

Taste: Pear, apricot & apple with a sweet tart finish

Pairing: Cheesecake, baked apples, shortbread cookies,

aged gouda

Winemaker Notes: 9 months neutral oak, 6% RS

Nose: Dark cherry, vanilla & caramelized apples

Taste: Fruity, especially raspberry, light tannins

Pairing: Wahoo BBQ, baked brie, mushroom risotto, chips & guacamole

Winemaker Notes: Bordeaux blend of 25% Cab Franc, 25% Cab Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 25% Petit Verdot, French Oak (38% new)

 

2017 Merlot                                                                          $26

Nose: Harvest spices, dark cherry & licorice  

Taste: Tart cherry, a bit of leather & a long fruity finish

Pairing: Shepherd’s Pie, lamb chops, pasta alfredo, tomato & olive tapenade, pecan pie

Winemaker Notes: 80% Merlot, 20% Cab Sauvignon, French oak (33% new) for 20 months

Nose: Cherry with a touch of vanilla

Taste: Oak & vanilla with a bit of cherry & plum,

smooth finish

Pairing: Grilled chicken pizza, flank steak, lentil soup,

chocolate mousse

Winemaker Notes: Bordeaux blend of 44% Merlot,

34% Petit Verdot, 22% Cab Franc, French oak (30% new) for 21 months, Silver Medal 2020 VA Governor’s Cup

Nose: Vanilla, deep red cherry

Taste: Spicy, dark cherry, smooth full tannins

Pairing: Meatloaf, chicken enchiladas, venison, lasagna

Winemaker Notes: Bordeaux blend of equal parts Cab Franc, Cab Sauvignon, Merlot & Petit Verdot French

Taste: Berries & plums with white pepper & zesty long finish

Winemaker Notes:  French oak (10% new) for 8 months,

100% Cab Franc, Gold Medal 2020 VA Governor’s Cup

Nose: Berries, vanilla & leather

Taste: Smooth taste of cherries, berries & plums mixed

with baking spices—let it linger

Pairing: Steak, Pork loin, Stilton cheese, black bean chili

2017 Sweet Home—port-style dessert wine         $30

Nose: Cherry licorice, fig

Taste: Black cherry, raspberry, long smooth finish

Pairings: Sharp cheddar, dried figs, tiramisu, dark chocolate

Winemaker notes: 50/50 Petit Verdot & Cabernet Sauvignon, CCW brandy fortified by Copper Fox Distillery, 6% RS, 18% ABV
